Donald Edwards Joins SRA

FAIRFAX, Va., Jan. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SRA International, Inc. (NYSE: SRX), a leading provider of information technology (IT) services and solutions to U.S. federal government organizations, announced that Donald E. Edwards has joined the Company as Senior Advisor for Homeland Security. His extensive experience in federal, state and local government will enable him to provide SRA clients, including the National Guard Bureau, with specific insight for expanding and enhancing their homeland security programs.

Before joining SRA, Edwards served as Vice President and Senior Analyst for the Strategic Assessment Center at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), where he managed IT programs for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). His experience included management of an advanced technology integration demonstration for the Director of Military Support at DoD, a long distance learning program for peacekeepers with a U.S. Army airborne corps, and a homeland defense assessment for the National Guard Bureau.

In 1997, Edwards retired as a Major General after a 38-year career in the U.S. Army, including 16 years as Vermont's Adjutant General. In this position, he founded the Army National Guard's Mountain Warfare School, directed the installation of the Reserve Component Automation System in the Vermont National Guard, and managed complex Army National Guard projects using advanced IT capabilities such as distance learning. Edwards also has experience as a local first responder and with state-level committees representing first responders. He has served as President of the Adjutant Generals Association of the U.S. and Vice President of the National Guard Association of the U.S.
