Tom Schmidt joined the corporate finance group after Mesaba Airlines was acquired by Pinnacle Airlines Corp. in 2010. He joined Mesaba in October 2005 as vice president of Finance. Prior to joining Mesaba, Schmidt served for five years as the president and chief operating officer of Management Partners & Associates, a consulting firm that provides business, strategic, financial planning and project management consulting services to businesses. In that capacity, Schmidt served as Mesaba’s interim vice president of Finance before joining the company.

Schmidt has held financial management positions at Northwest Airlines and Sun Country Airlines, where he also served in senior operations and planning roles. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Marquette University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota in 1990.
