FAIRFAX, Virginia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 9, 2006--
Integration Established to Enhance Timely and Effective Network
Incident Response Capabilities for the Department of Homeland Security
ManTech International Corporation (Nasdaq:MANT), a leading
provider of innovative technologies and solutions focused on
mission-critical national security programs for the Intelligence
Community; the Departments of Defense, State, Homeland Security, and
Justice; the Space Community; and other U.S. federal government
customers, announced today that it has integrated its NetWitness
product with Sentinel 5 from e-Security, a leading supplier of
security information management and continuous compliance monitoring
solutions. This integration will give customers the ability to quickly
and definitively determine the intent, magnitude, and risk of network
security events by leveraging NetWitness' breakthrough methods of
network forensic analysis and Sentinel's award-winning capabilities to
monitor, correlate, remediate, and report on security and compliance
events. The Department of Homeland Security will be the first customer
to utilize the combined offering.
"The combination of e-Security's security information management
technology and NetWitness' network forensics analysis represents a
logical step in the evolution of an enterprise's security
infrastructure," said Nick Lantuh, Vice President of Strategic
Development, NetWitness Products, ManTech International Corporation.
"e-Security's ability to automate event identification, correlation,
and remediation, combined with NetWitness' ability to provide
definitive risk determination through detailed forensic analysis,
provides our customers with a profound understanding of the intent and
magnitude of their security events. As a common customer, the
Department of Homeland Security was influential in driving the
integration and creating optimal visibility into their network traffic
by leveraging and enhancing existing security infrastructure."
"NetWitness is a natural extension of e-Security's security
information management solution," said Dave Capuano, Vice President of
Product Management for e-Security, Inc. "Sentinel collects and
correlates disparate event data from throughout the network, analyzes
the data in real-time, and manages incident response, automating and
formalizing the process of tracking, escalating and responding to
incidents and violations. NetWitness' leading network forensics
capabilities makes the event analysis and incident response process
more effective by delivering more detailed data on events and
incidents across the network, enabling customers to identify and
manage risk quickly and effectively."
NetWitness is an in-depth network forensics product that makes the
incident response processes more effective while adding value to
existing network security infrastructure. NetWitness is designed from
the ground up to rapidly analyze and model complex network traffic,
not simply monitor it, enabling a profound understanding of the
magnitude and intent of network events. It is used by Fortune 100s,
national intelligence agencies, law enforcement agencies and the
Department of Defense.
