ROANOKE, Va., September 29, 2011 – Advance Auto Parts, Inc. (NYSE: AAP), a leading automotive aftermarket retailer of parts, accessories and maintenance items, today announced Donna Broome, Senior Vice President, Commercial Sales will transition to the role of Senior Vice President, Team Member Excellence.  Ms. Broome will lead the Company’s intense focus on leveraging Team Member strategies and systems to deliver customer service excellence.  Ms. Broome will report to Mike Norona, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and will continue to be based in Roanoke, Virginia.

Donna will leverage this experience more broadly, driving Team Member Excellence across our entire company,” said Norona. “Her passion, energy and conviction for our customers and Team Members, along with her ability to collaborate with all areas of the company, will be key drivers to further build on this shared mission.”

Ms. Broome joined Advance in May of 2008 as Senior Vice President, Commercial Sales. Prior to joining Advance, Ms. Broome served as Partner and Chief Sales Officer at Dealer Tire.  Prior to that position, she served as Vice President and Corporate Officer, Commercial Sales and Contracts at Grainger Industrial Supply and held several key sales leadership positions at Xerox Corporation.  Ms. Broome has a Business Administration and Marketing degree from Johnson and Wales University and is a graduate of the Harvard Advanced Management Program.   Ms. Broome and her family are active in the Roanoke community, where she chaired the Advance United Way Campaign for two years.  Ms. Broome also serves as a Big Sister through the United Way’s Big Sister, Little Sister program.
