(NYSE:GME), today announced that it will host events on Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at approximately 1,500 of its U.S. GameStop stores for the launch of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots by Konami. These events will include trivia contests, a Metal Gear "Big Boss" costume contest and an exclusive sneak-peek of the game leading up to the 12:01 a.m. Thursday release.

Most participating GameStop locations will begin their events after 10:00 p.m. local time; however, customers are encouraged to contact their local store to confirm the exact time of the event.
