GameStop Offering Exclusive Trade-Up Offer Toward New PlayStation 4 and Xbox One Games in Select European Countries

Customers can purchase PlayStation 4 and Xbox One games for around €14.99 when trading in eligible PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 games

GRAPEVINE, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sep. 23, 2013-- GameStop, the world’s largest multichannel video game retailer, is taking the uncertainty out of which PlayStation and Xbox versions of a consumer’s favorite game they should buy this fall with an exclusive, guaranteed upgrade offer.

GameStop announced today that beginning this week, it will offer customers in select European countries a special, limited time opportunity to upgrade select standard edition PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 titles for the new PlayStation 4 or Xbox One standard version of the same title for around €14.99. The exclusive game upgrade is being offered in GameStop store locations in Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.

Activision’s Call of Duty®: Ghosts
Electronic Arts’ FIFA 14, Battlefield 4, Need for Speed

To qualify for this offer, a customer must be a GameStop+, PowerCard, or Micromania Mégacarte member at the time they purchase a new eligible PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 title(s) within 30 days of its initial release and then trade that game at any of the participating European GameStop locations for the new PlayStation 4 or Xbox One standard version of the same game. The game can only be traded in at a GameStop location within the country it was purchased. Redemption must occur by December 31, 2013. The GameStop offer is for a limited time only and may end without notice.
