Mark Kroll Chief technology Officer of St. Jude Medical Cardiac Rhythm Management Division Joins TASER® International, Inc's Board of Directors

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., January 17, 2003 –TASER® International, Inc. (Nasdaq: TASR, TASRW), a provider of advanced less-lethal weapons for use in the law enforcement, private security and personal defense markets, today announced with great pleasure the appointment of Dr. Mark W. Kroll to the Board of Directors.

The board's mission is to help further penetrate the law enforcement market both domestically and internationally and to provide strategic guidance for the future of the company.
