Street Furniture Contract wins for JCDecaux

12 December 2001 – JCDecaux SA (Euronext Paris: DEC), a world leader in outdoor advertising and the largest outdoor group in Europe, announced today that it has been awarded two significant street furniture contracts:

- Liège in Belgium – (population 200,000)
- The Stavanger region in Norway – (population 180,000)

With a total of some 2,000 advertising panels, these two exclusive 15 year contracts are forecast to generate combined advertising revenues of over €90 million.

Commenting on the contract wins, Jean-François Decaux Chairman and Co-CEO of JCDecaux, said: “The renewal of the Liège contract, originally won 32 years ago, demonstrates our ability to provide new and innovative ideas for improving public facilities and confirms the quality of the service that we provide.

“The Stavanger contract win is a great success for our Norwegian team and is a reflection of the quality of the JCDecaux offer in a very environmentally conscious country. Our development in Scandinavia, where we have been growing both organically and by acquisition, is making good progress.”
