|JCDecaux First Half Revenues Rise 10.7%|
Paris, 9 July 2001 – JCDecaux SA (JCDecaux, Paris: DEC.), one of the world's leading outdoor advertising groups and the largest in Europe, announces that its revenues rose by 10.7% in the first half of 2001, of which approximately half was from organic growth.
Total revenues rose to €755 million in the six months ended 30 June 2001 from €682 million in the same period last year. This increase comprised over 10% growth in the street furniture and transport businesses, partially offset by weak trading conditions in the billboard business.
Commenting Jean-Francois Decaux, Chairman of the executive board and Co-CEO of JCDecaux, said:
“These revenue figures confirm the Company's double-digit revenue growth target for the year and demonstrate the resilience of JCDecaux in difficult market conditions.”
