The Board has a strong committee structure and committees perform a substantial amount of the Board’s work. The six standing committees have clear roles and responsibilities articulated in charters recommended by the Corporate Governance Committee and approved by the Board. Directors usually serve on two committees, which meet at least 4 times each year. Based on the needs of the committee and the skills and experience of each director, the Governance Committee recommends committee assignments and the Board approves them.
