Thomas M. Brandt, Jr. joined TeleCommunication Systems (TCS) in 1997. As Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, he is responsible for the company’s financial management, reporting, controls, accounting, and administration. He joined the TCS board of directors in 2009. Prior to TCS, he served as Chief Financial Officer of internet service provider Digex, Inc., where he helped lead an IPO.
Prior to Digex, Mr. Brandt was Chief Financial Officer and Controller for several other corporations, including a Fortune 500 New York Stock Exchange company. He began his career with Price Waterhouse where he worked for 12 years.
Mr. Brandt also serves on the boards of Antenna Research Associates, a private communications technology company, TechAmerica (formerly AeA), the largest US IT trade association, and the Y of Central Maryland.
Mr. Brandt is a Certified Public Accountant. He earned his BA from Duke University and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
