POZEN Submits New Drug Application to the U.S. FDA for MT 300 for the Acute Treatment of Migraine

CHAPEL HILL, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 17, 2002--POZEN Inc. (Nasdaq: POZN), a pharmaceutical development company with a portfolio of product candidates for the treatment of migraine, announced the submission today of a New Drug Application (NDA) to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for marketing approval of MT 300 for the acute treatment of migraine with or without aura.

MT 300 is designed to provide long-lasting pain relief for patients needing a convenient injectable therapy for severe migraine. MT 300 is being developed as a new, improved formulation of dihydroergotamine mesylate (DHE) in a convenient pre-filled syringe that is suitable for at-home use.
