Saba’s Unified Learning Management Suite, Hosted Through Partner
Comenius, Enables Efficient Training and Certifications for 2,500
Employees Nationwide
REDWOOD SHORES, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 14, 2012--
Saba (NASDAQ:SABA), the premier provider of people-centric enterprise
solutions, working with trusted partner Comenius, today announced that
Svevia, one of Sweden’s largest road and construction contractors, is
leveraging the Saba Unified Learning Management Suite to centralize and
coordinate learning and performance management for improved productivity
of its workforce. Svevia also uses Saba to control the certifications
and compliance for 2,500 employees nationwide.
Svevia leverages Saba’s Unified Learning Management Suite to effectively
manage Svevia Academy, a centralized training unit at the company.
Svevia Academy delivers 130 in-depth training courses for all employees
including, ‘Our Way of Work’ – a blended course including instructor-led
and e-Learning facets that provides introductory training on Svevia work
practices. In 2011, 2,384 Svevia employees participated in training
through Svevia Academy.
Prior to using Saba, Svevia primarily ran instructor-led training, which
was operationally challenging and costly. The company now offers blended
learning programs consisting of both instructor-led and e-Learning
courses, which has vastly reduced administration and costs. As the
program grows, Svevia is adding to the introductory e-Learning courses
for new Svevia employees and managers which are included as part of the
new starter curriculum. They also plan to develop e-Learning into other
areas, for example the environment and safety courses.
