Sears Canada Announces Affiliation with SBS Corporation

TORONTO, Jul 14, 2005 (Canada NewsWire via COMTEX) -- Sears Canada Inc. (TSX: SCC) today announced its affiliation with SBS Corporation which will provide third party businesses with the opportunity to share Sears Contact Centre capacity. SBS will have the right to market the availability of the services of the Sears Customer Contact Centres which are located in Montreal (Quebec), Belleville (Ontario), and Regina (Saskatchewan).

"In a business like ours with seasonal peaks and valleys, entering into an agreement such as this one with SBS allows us to maximize our call centre capacity," said Scott Marshall, Senior Vice-President and Operations Officer, Sears Canada. "Linking with SBS will provide opportunities for us to grow revenue with our existing infrastructure and increase our overall productivity."

Dorothy Millman serves as President of SBS and has extensive experience in call handling and Customer Relationship Management. "They are nationally renowned for being a high quality service provider and they have received industry recognition for the excellent standard of service provided to their own customers."
