WINNIPEG, Sep. 8, 2011, 2011 (Canada NewsWire via COMTEX) -- Join us at Sears Polo Park to welcome and cheer on the 14 cyclists that began a marathon 15-day ride from Vancouver to Halifax yesterday (September 7th, 2011), to raise money and awareness for childhood cancer. When their journey ends on the Atlantic coast in Halifax on September 22(nd),( )Riders will have travelled some 7,000 km.

Sears Polo Park with the Winnipeg community will welcome the
cyclists of the Sears National Kids Cancer Ride, the longest
WHAT: charity cycling event of its kind in the world, on behalf of
childhood cancer. The event celebrations will include numerous
exciting activities and refreshments.
All money raised will fund programs that improve the lives of
children living with cancer and those recovering from the
physical and emotional scars that can be part of survivorship.
Beyond the children themselves, their families and friends
benefit from on-going support programs provided by the National
Kids Cancer Ride.
