|Sears Canada Appoints Chief Administrative Officer|

Sears Canada Inc. (TSX: SCC) announced today that Thomas J. Fitzgerald has been appointed Executive Vice-President and Chief Administrative Officer effective today. In his new role, Mr. Fitzgerald will oversee the finance, merchandise procurement, supply chain, store operations and information technology functions.

Mr. Fitzgerald was most recently with Liz Claiborne Inc. as chief executive officer of the Lucky Brand Jeans division, and also held senior positions in other divisions at Claiborne. Prior to that, he was Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Burlington Coat Factory and Chief Operating Officer at Bath & Body Works, a division of Limited Brands, following a period there as CFO. Before this, Mr. Fitzgerald held various management roles at Pepsico Inc., including two years stationed in Toronto. Mr. Fitzgerald looks forward to returning to Toronto.
