Sears Canada Inc. (TSX: SCC) today released Boxing Week sales eight days early in its major appliances, furniture and mattresses departments. Understanding that Canadians focus their Boxing Day purchasing on home electronics, Christmas Decorations, and apparel for the entire family, Sears is releasing an early version of Boxing Week in its big-ticket departments to provide Canadians the opportunity to take advantage of outstanding prices on these categories in the week leading up to Christmas Day.

First-Ever National "Men's Night Out": Friday, Dec. 18th

Sears is hosting many exciting events and reducing prices sharply on a wide array of Christmas gift ideas in the seven shopping days remaining before Christmas.

On Friday evening, December 18, from 6:00 p.m. to closing (which is as late as 11:00 p.m. in most locations), Sears is holding its first ever national "Men's Night Out" event. Sears recognizes that some men may not have had a chance to complete their Christmas shopping while feeling time running out. Terrell Owens Appears at "Men's Night Out" launch in Toronto:

In the Company's Flagship store at the Toronto Eaton Centre, "Men's Night Out" is kicking off with a personal appearance from Buffalo Bills Wide Receiver Terrell Owens, who will be participating in a Samsung sponsored autograph signing session between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Customer Appreciation Night

Sears will be following up its "Men's Night Out" evening with a special "Customer Appreciation Night" on Saturday evening, December 19. In addition to discounts of up to 60% available for that evening only, customers can win a $20 Butterball Turkey gift certificate and receive free gift wrapping from 6:00 p.m. until closing.
