| Sears Canada Advised of an Expanded Recall Relating to Two Evenflo Majestic(TM) High Chairs |

| TORONTO, Apr 3, 2009 (Canada NewsWire via COMTEX) -- Sears Canada Inc. has been advised by Evenflo Juvenile Products of an expanded recall relating to two Evenflo Majestic High Chairs. There is a potential for the plastic caps and metal screws on both sides of the high chairs to loosen and fall out, allowing the seatback to suddenly fall back or detach from the high chair. Detached hardware also poses a choking hazard to children.
The high chairs were sold at several retailers including Sears Canada, which sold the items in its Sears Canada retail stores as well as through the Sears Canada catalogue, and online at www.sears.ca, between May 30, 2008 and March 27, 2009. The Sears regular price was $109.99 and $124.99; the affected model numbers of the Evenflo Majestic High Chairs that were sold at Sears are 3001852 and 3003845. The model number and production date can be found on a white label attached to the back of the seat. The corresponding Sears item numbers found on your receipt of sale are 68112 and 68119. In the interest of consumer safety, Sears Canada urges customers who own an affected Evenflo Majestic High Chairs to cease use immediately and contact Evenflo for a free repair kit by calling toll-free at 1-800-265-0749 (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET) or visiting www.majestichighchair.com. Sears Canada will be posting signs in all of its department stores to advise customers of this safety advisory.
