Sears Canada Advised of a Potential Safety Hazard Relating to Certain Models of Bosch(R) Dishwashers
TORONTO, Jan. 30, 2009 (Canada NewsWire via COMTEX) -- Sears Canada has been advised by Bosch Home Appliances of a potential safety hazard relating to certain Bosch(R) dishwashers. It has been discovered that an electrical component in the dishwashers can overheat, posing a potential fire hazard.

The affected Bosch dishwashers were manufactured between 1999 and 2005, and were sold across all channels of Sears Canada. The list of affected model numbers and corresponding Sears item numbers are found below. The model and serial numbers may be found inside the dishwasher door panel on the upper right side.

In the interest of consumer safety, customers who own an affected dishwasher should cease use immediately. Sears Canada will be contacting its customers directly to schedule a free repair.
