| Sears Canada Issues an Advisory Notice for the GE Profile(TM) Wall Oven |

| TORONTO, Nov. 21, 2008 (Canada NewsWire via COMTEX News Network) -- Sears Canada has been advised by GE Consumer & Industrial, manufacturer of the GE Profile(TM) Wall Oven, of a potential safety hazard. It has been discovered that if the wall oven door is removed and incorrectly re-attached, the extreme heat used in the self-clean cycle can escape, posing a potential fire and burn hazard.
The affected GE profile(TM) Wall ovens were sold across all channels of Sears Canada between October 2002 and November 2008. The list of affected model numbers and corresponding Sears item numbers are found below. The model and serial numbers may be found inside the oven on the left interior wall.

Please note, this advisory applies to GE product only; Kenmore wall ovens sold in Canada are not affected by this recall. In the interest of consumer safety, Sears Canada urges customers who own an affected wall oven to book a free service call through Sears by calling 1-800-469-4663 toll-free 24 hrs/day, 7 days/week, to ensure that the wall oven door is installed correctly. Sears also urges customers to cease use of the self-clean function until the unit is checked. Sears Canada will be posting signs in all of its retail stores to advise customers of this safety notice. Sears Canada is bringing this matter to the public's attention in the interest of consumer safety and apologizes for any inconvenience.
