|Media Advisory/Photo Opportunity - Sears invites Canadians to sign giant Christmas card that will be unveiled during the Canadian Forces Personnel Support Agency entertainment show|
|QUEBEC CITY, QC, Nov. 1, 2007 (Canada NewsWire via COMTEX News Network) -- Sears Canada and the Canadian Forces Personnel Support Agency (CFPSA) invite the media to the official 2007 launch of Operation Wish, a special annual Holiday initiative that lets troops stationed overseas stay connected with their families back home.
As part of this initiative Sears is inviting Canadians into their stores to sign one of three giant 4'x5' greeting cards that will be touring Québec Sears stores from November 1st through November 11th. Additionally, 22 similar cards will tour the rest of Canada during the month of December.
These cards will be delivered to the Canadian Military base in Afghanistan in late November and will be unveiled during the CFPSA's entertainment show for the troops featuring 11 francophone performers. This show will kick off with comedian Pascal Babin and include rock and dance numbers.
Sears chose Québec to launch Operation Wish in honour of the large contingent of soldiers currently deployed from CFB Valcartier.
