Mankato, Minn., Dawn Carson, won $10,000, courtesy of an online
sweepstakes that took place during U.S. Bank's "How many stars does
your bank have" branding campaign that launched in early April. Carson
received her $10,000 prize during a celebration event at the U.S. Bank
branch, located at 312 Raintree Road in Mankato, on Thursday, June 15.
U.S. Bank promoted the new campaign with the online sweepstakes,
the "How Many Stars Trivia Challenge" on www.usbank.com that awarded a
$50 Visa gift card to 10 winners daily and entered the participants in
a sweepstakes for $10,000. Carson was one of more than 86,000 people
from the United States who entered the sweepstakes.
"I found out about the sweepstakes from the U.S. Bank ads on
television," stated Carson. "I also received an e-mail from U.S. Bank
and clicked on the link to the sweepstakes entry form. It was very
easy to enter, and I didn't think twice about it afterwards. Somebody
always wins, but never me! I am very happy to win and the money comes
at a good time."
Carson said she has been a U.S. Bank customer for 13 years, since
she was a student at Minnesota State University-Mankato. "U.S. Bank
