U.S. Bank and American Military Society Offer New Credit Card for Members

MINNEAPOLIS & UPPER MARLBORO, Md., Jun 14, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- The American Military Society (AMS) and U.S. Bank have partnered to offer the American Military Society Visa(R) Platinum credit card, an affinity and rewards card to support the mission of the AMS. Every new card activation and subsequent purchases will generate donations to the AMS.

The new Visa(R) card comes in two designs, the Patriot card and the Chevrons card, both of which feature the official logo of the AMS. Members will have access to three credit card products from U.S. Bank including a card that earns reward points that can be redeemed for gift certificates, merchandise and travel rewards, a card designed for young adults, and another that provides cash back on purchases.

"The American Military Society has a long standing reputation of supporting the men and women of America's military and their families, and we are pleased to partner with an organization that serves such an important purpose," said Patricia Wesner, executive vice president of retail payment solutions at U.S. Bank.

Douglas Russell, president of AMS, added, "AMS has a history of serving the military community by delivering the highest quality money-saving services to our members. By partnering with U.S. Bank, we can now offer AMS members a credit card solution that incorporates exclusive savings opportunities. The AMS credit card presents yet another way in which AMS is helping its members to save money before they shop. We are excited to be able to offer our members the universal acceptance of VISA backed by the superior security and customer service of U.S. Bank."

The AMS is a non-profit veteran's organization representing the professional and personal interests of active duty and retired men and women of America's Uniformed Services, National Guard and Reserve. AMS also provides family members, former members and veterans, and other interested parties the opportunity to join and support the association as members of AMS.
