U.S. Bank Presents Summer of Fun with Fireworks and Neighborhood Symphony Series in Conjunction with Milwaukee County Parks and Journal Sentinel

June17-18 Symphony Series in Milwaukee County Parks,
June 22 American Concert
Hour-Long, Spectacular July 3 U.S. Bank Fireworks Show
and July 27-30 U.S. Bank Championship

MILWAUKEE, WI., May 18, 2006 - With several free entertainment and cultural events being sponsored this year by U.S. Bank, in conjunction with Milwaukee County Parks and the Journal Sentinel, there is no need to travel far for fun.

Bill Bertha, U.S. Bank Wisconsin market president, said, "Through our organizations joint efforts, we are excited to present this exciting entertainment package, which includes neighborhood concerts that tie in the local music heritage, the biggest fireworks display in the Midwest and world-class professional golf, as our way to giving back to our customers and the community."

Betsy Brenner, Journal Sentinel president and publisher said, "We are delighted to partner with U.S. Bank and Milwaukee County to not only bring a new twist to the time-honored July 3rd fireworks, but also a host of new, family-oriented neighborhood celebrations here in Milwaukee."

Outlining the events, Bertha said the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra (MSO) will perform at Washington Park on the evening of June 17 and during the afternoon at Humboldt Park on June 18. Prior to each concert, the MSO will provide a 'Symphony 101' talk, as well as answer questions, to give audiences an overview of the classical performance that will capture the rich cultural scene of the neighborhood where the concert is taking place.

"The MSO is honored to be part of U.S. Bank's wide range of summertime activities," Mark Hanson, President and Executive Director of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra said. "Our free concerts in two beautiful Milwaukee County parks will attract a broad audience that may not otherwise have the chance to experience the Symphony. We applaud U.S. Bank and its commitment to our community and look forward to sharing our music with thousands of concert-goers!"

Bertha added, "We're also thrilled to sponsor MSO's American Celebration concert at the Marcus Center June 22 to benefit the United Performing Arts Fund. This patriotic performance showcases American composers and is the perfect preview to our spectacular U.S. Bank July 3 Fireworks show. This year, Bartolotta's will light the skies over Milwaukee for a full 60 minutes of 'oohs, and aahs,' with more drama, artistry and surprise launch sites that will have fireworks fans talking for years."

In addition, Bertha said that golfing fans can enjoy another year of watching top-notch PGA players at Brown Deer Park Golf Course during the July 27-July 30 U.S. Bank Championship. "This is our third year as title sponsor for this unique PGA Tournament. Being a part of this community for the past 153 years, we love the fact that it features our local crown jewel public course played by many families in our area, the economic boost it provides to our local economy, and most of all, the charitable contributions that have resulted from our being involved in this outstanding tournament, which for the last two years surpassed $1.2 million. This year, we have an ambitious goal to raise $1 million for Wisconsin charities."

Scott Walker, Milwaukee County Executive, concluded, "Milwaukee County is very pleased to be a partner with U.S. Bank and the Journal Sentinel in helping to ensure that this summer will be one of the best yet in terms of activities for folks to enjoy in our parks. From the fireworks, to the summer concerts, to the U.S. Bank Championship at Brown Deer Park, there is truly something for everyone in Milwaukee County's parks this summer."

The "Concerts in the Park" series and fireworks shows are free and open to the public. Concert tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster and golf ticket information can be found on www.usbankchampionship.com.
