U.S. Bank to Open 10 Additional Full-Service Offices Inside Schnucks Stores on March 1

ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 28, 2006--U.S. Bank will unveil 10, seven-day-a-week, full-service offices inside area Schnucks Marketplaces on Wednesday, March 1, 2006. The celebration features Schnucks gift cards for each new U.S. Bank account opened and a drawing for a chance to win a cash prize of $10,000. Three additional U.S. Bank branches are expected to open later this year, bringing a total of 66 Schnucks stores that have either a U.S. Bank branch or U.S. Bank ATM in them.

Following the successful opening of the first 17 U.S. Bank in-store sites, the next 10 will open on March 1 in Illinois in Collinsville, Edwardsville and Fairview Heights as well as in Missouri in Des Peres, Jennings and Richmond Center in St. Louis, and in Chesterfield, High Ridge, O'Fallon and Wentzville (location addresses noted below).

Joe Imbs, U.S. Bank St. Louis market president, said that by year end, U.S. Bank will have 30 full-service in-store branches and 36 U.S. Bank ATMs in other Schnuck Markets to give all 66 stores in the St. Louis Metro and Southeast Illinois area one convenient and customer service focused financial services partner. All sites will include a full-service ATM for added customer convenience. "U.S. Bank is a dominant player in St. Louis and will only continue to grow," said Imbs, who noted that St. Louis would soon have 110 full-service branches as well as approximately 300 ATMs in St. Louis Metro area.

"We are always looking for ways to give our customers added value and convenience," commented Todd Schnuck, executive vice president of Schnuck Markets, Inc. "U.S. Bank is a strong partner and, like Schnucks, the company has an outstanding record of commitment to quality customer service. Our customers find that they can count on more efficient and fun grocery shopping trips when we make it easy for them to shop and bank all in one service-oriented location."

Mike Burke, senior vice president of U.S. Bank's central in-store group, said, "Research shows that consumers bank 2.4 times per week and grocery shop 2.6 times per week, so our partnership with Schnucks is a great way to enable customers to bank where they shop and shop where they bank."

Burke added that customers who take advantage of U.S. Bank products and services can also take comfort in knowing that U.S. Bank is home of exclusive Five Star Service, meaning business will be efficient and accurate on every transaction.

The hours of the new U.S. Bank office inside Schnucks are Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Customers also have access to services 24-hours a day through ATM, telephone or Internet banking.

Burke says, during the grand opening celebration, each new U.S. Bank Schnuck in-store location will have a drawing, with the winner qualifying for a chance to play a guess-it game of "paper or plastic" with a chance to ultimately gain $10,000. "Scratch and Win" cards will be given to the first 2,000 shoppers, and customers who open new U.S. Bank accounts also will receive a Schnucks gift card valued up to $50.
