Protect Grouse and Woodcock Habitat with New Credit Card from U.S. Bank

MINNEAPOLIS and CORAOPOLIS, Pa. (Jan. 26, 2006) - The Ruffed Grouse Society and U.S. Bank have teamed up to provide the Ruffed Grouse Society Visa® credit card. The card generates support for the society each time a new card is activated and repeatedly thereafter each time the card is used.

"The card program is an important part of our mission to improve the environment for Ruffed Grouse, American Woodcock and other forest wildlife, and we are pleased to make this opportunity to support our organization available to our members," said Robert L. Patterson Jr., executive director of the Ruffed Grouse Society.

The Ruffed Grouse Society credit card features no annual fee, a low introductory rate (APR) and a choice of rewards including cash back or points redeemable for merchandise, travel, gift certificates or virtually any reward with the Choose Your Own Reward option.

"We are proud to support the conservation of the natural habitat for Ruffed Grouse and American Woodcock," said Tanya Turner, senior vice president of affinity products at U.S. Bank. "We look forward to building and continuing a great relationship with the society and its 23,000 members."

More information on the Ruffed Grouse Society visit www.ruffedgrousesociety.org.

Founded in 1961, the Ruffed Grouse Society's role in conservation of wildlife habitat is to enhance the environment for the Ruffed Grouse, American Woodcock and other forest wildlife that require or utilize thick, young forests. Many of the procedures discussed in the publications that the society produces or distributes entail some form of forest management that will regenerate young trees and provide the dense young forests required by ruffed grouse and woodcock, and many other species of wildlife. The Society is really about - "Hunters Making A Difference For Wildlife!"
