SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 25, 2006--David H. Bartram,
president of U.S. Bank's SBA Division, has been selected chairman of
the National Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders (NAGGL).
NAGGL is a national trade organization comprising primarily
lenders participating in the U.S. Small Business Administration's
(SBA) 7(a) guaranteed loan program. NAGGL members originate
approximately 80 percent of all 7(a) loans.
Bartram will serve as NAGGL chairman for the next three years, in
addition to his position at U.S. Bank. He will work to strengthen the
SBA lending industry's ability to provide capital to America's growing
small businesses community. Through the 7(a) program, SBA lenders
anticipate providing approximately $17 billion in loans to small
businesses this year.

Bartram's prior service to NAGGL is extensive. He has served as
vice chairman of both the government relations committee and the
technical issues committee.

nationwide.
