U.S. Bank Officially Opens New On Campus Office on Friday, January 13 at Northern Kentucky University

U.S. Bank will officially open a full-service, on-campus office at Northern Kentucky University (NKU) on Friday, January 13, 2006 with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11:30 am. Representatives from the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce will be there, as well as Dan Groneck, U.S. Bank Northern Kentucky market president, and Andy Meeks, director of business operations and auxiliary services at NKU.

The grand-opening festivities include refreshments, give-away college essentials such as pens, sports backpacks, ice scrapers, lip balm and hats, as well as drawing for a chance to win a $500 bookstore gift certificate, an iPod or NKU spirit gear. U.S. Bank will also participate in several NKU Homecoming events on Saturday January 21 and 28, including a community service project and chili cookoff.

The branch is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and provides a comprehensive line of student banking products, including campus ID card programs, student loans, Internet banking, U.S. Bank student checking and savings, and Visa Buxx(R) prepaid cards. Staff and faculty will also benefit from an outstanding suite of Workplace Banking products offered at the branch. It will be managed by NKU graduate Kirk Ashcraft, who began his career with U.S. Bank nearly four years ago and will be staffed by recent NKU graduate Mark Shaw and UK graduate Chris Gibson. Andy Meeks, director of business operations and auxiliary services at NKU said, "U.S. Bank is one of the top student banking institutions in the nation so it made sense to strengthen our partnership by opening a branch on campus." NKU currently partners with U.S. Bank for its All-Card, a multi-use identification card used by its 14,000 students, 1,650 faculty and staff to check out resources from the campus library, purchase meals without cash, gain access to campus fitness facilities and other amenities. The All-Card can also be used as a U.S. Bank ATM card on and off campus and at many merchant terminals in the United States that accept Interlink or Plus. In addition to the University Center ATM, U.S. Bank also has an ATM on the campus in the Norse Commons.

NKU is one of 29 colleges and universities that have joined with U.S. Bank for a campus banking program. Others include Xavier University, Marquette University, San Diego State University, Iowa State University, Morehead State University, Northwestern University, and the University of Louisville.
