U.S. Bank Announces Emergency Assistance Program

MADISONVILLE, Ky., Nov 25, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- (NYSE:USB) U.S. Bank has established a special financial assistance program to aid residents and businesses suffering damages from the recent tornado in Madisonville and Hopkins County. The storm damage assistance program will include reduced rate auto, personal and small business loans.

Additionally, U.S. Bank has set up a special account to collect funds for the Salvation Army and the American Red Cross Chapter Local Disaster Fund. Those who would like to contribute to the tornado victims can do so by stopping by any U.S. Bank branch in Hopkins County or calling 1-800-USBANKS (1-800-872-2657).

Michael Eubanks president of U.S. Bank in Madisonville said, "As the debris is being cleared away, the next question that comes up is, 'how am I going to pay for a replacement car or to repair my house until my insurance or federal funds are available?' We want people to know that we are here to lend a hand during this unfortunate time and that they can turn to us for help."

U.S. Bank's storm damage assistance program is for any consumer or small business affected by the storm in Hopkins County and includes personal loans available at a reduced rate. Also, U.S. Bank's home equity loans at a reduced rate, with no closing cost. Additionally, U.S. Bank will offer special loans for repairs or replacement of autos.

To benefit from this special U.S. Bank storm damage assistance program, interested individuals or small businesses should go to any U.S. Bank branch in Hopkins County or call 1-800-872-2657. The storm damage assistance program will run through January 31, 2006.

U.S. Bank will employ its standard credit qualification procedures for all loan requests in the storm damage assistance program. To participate in the storm damage assistance program consumers or small business owners should have proof of damage, such as insurance forms, estimates of repair costs or other documentation.

U.S. Bank has six branches in Hopkins County including three branches in Madisonville at 666 East Center Street, 15 Chelsea Drive and One South Main Street and three branches at 108 South Main Street in Mortons Gap, 7250 Hanson Road in Hanson and 119 South Main in Dawson Springs.
