SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 10, 2005--Junior Achievement
of Utah, Inc., (J.A. of Utah) presented its 2005 National Leadership
Award to Damon Miller, president of U.S. Bank (NYSE:USB) in Utah.
Miller received the award during the dedication ceremony for U.S.
Bank's Utah state headquarters at 170 South Main in downtown Salt Lake
City on Wednesday, Nov. 9.
Phil Cofield, president and chief executive officer of J.A. of
Utah, presented the award to Miller. "Damon was chairman of J.A. of
Utah's state board of directors for the 2004 - 2005 fiscal year, the
fiftieth anniversary of our organization," said Cofield. "Under
Damon's leadership we garnered 50,000 student participants for the
year in more than 2,300 Utah classrooms. Without Damon at the helm, we
would not have achieved this incredible goal."
Each classroom has a business volunteer. U.S. Bank sponsors an
entire school and provides the bulk of classroom volunteers.

Junior Achievement is a volunteer driven, non-profit organization.

and college students will enter schools to teach Junior Achievement
