Bemidji State University Alumni Have Rewarding Way to Support Their Alma Mater with New Credit Card from U.S. Bank

MINNEAPOLIS & BEMIDJI, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 30, 2005--The more than 35,000 alumni of Bemidji State University will now have a new way to support their alma matter with the BSU Alumni Visa(R) Platinum Card from U.S. Bank. The card generates donations to the Bemidji State University Alumni Association each time a new card is activated and repeatedly thereafter each time the card is used.

There are three card images to choose from, including one that celebrates 50 years of BSU hockey, another that depicts a snow covered entrance to campus and a third that depicts the mascot BSU beaver. Cardholders will have access to three different U.S. Bank credit card products, including a card that earns reward points that can be redeemed for gift certificates, merchandise and travel rewards, and another that provides rewards designed especially for college students.

"BSU alumni are strong supporters of their alma mater, so we are thrilled to be able to offer them an easy way to give back to their university every day and from wherever they are," said Dave Ramsey '78, BSU Alumni Association Board President.

"As Minnesota's hometown bank, U.S. Bank is delighted to partner with Bemidji State University to offer the BSU Alumni Visa card. Our goal is to provide a valuable card product that benefits the university and its students while also rewarding alumni for their support," said Tanya Turner, senior vice president of affinity products at U.S. Bank. "We look forward to the many opportunities that will arise for the BSU Alumni Association as a result of this program."
