September 19, at 10:00 a.m., U.S. Bank will cut the ribbon on its new,
2,500 square foot, full-service office at Highway 96, next to
O'Charleys. Assisting with the ribbon cutting will be Mike DeFere,
U.S. Bank branch manager, Mike Robbins, U.S. Bank regional president,
Tracy Brown, U.S. Bank district manager, and Anne Berry of the
Rutherford Chamber of Commerce.
Mike DeFere, U.S. Bank branch manager, said he and his team of
seven at the office are excited to be open for business. "This is a
convenient location for our ever growing west side and our many
consumer and commercial clients who have special business and personal
DeFere said U.S. Bank employees will take turns at the grill when
the bank hosts a free cookout for the community from 8:30 until noon
on Saturday, September 24, with free hot dogs and beverages.
As part of its grand opening week, the branch is also planning a
drawing for a $1,000 U.S. Bank Visa(R) gift card. People who register
do not need to be a U.S. Bank customer. In addition, the branch will
hold a coloring contest for children, with the winner receiving $25 in
their new Young Saver's account. Nearby restaurants are getting in the
fun of the bank's grand opening by sponsoring free appetizers in the
office lobby during the week, and U.S. Bank is having a "sale" on its
home equity loan, with a low rate and no fees or closing costs.
The new location offers a full range of services and an ATM. In
addition to opening free checking accounts with free Internet bill
