U.S. Bank Officially Opens Full-Service Office on Highway 96 in Murfreesboro; Hosts Cook-Out and $1,000 Grand Prize Drawing for the Community on Saturday, September 24

MURFREESBORO, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 19, 2005--On Monday, September 19, at 10:00 a.m., U.S. Bank will cut the ribbon on its new, 2,500 square foot, full-service office at Highway 96, next to O'Charleys. Assisting with the ribbon cutting will be Mike DeFere, U.S. Bank branch manager, Mike Robbins, U.S. Bank regional president, Tracy Brown, U.S. Bank district manager, and Anne Berry of the Rutherford Chamber of Commerce.

Mike DeFere, U.S. Bank branch manager, said he and his team of seven at the office are excited to be open for business. "This is a convenient location for our ever growing west side and our many consumer and commercial clients who have special business and personal needs."

DeFere said U.S. Bank employees will take turns at the grill when the bank hosts a free cookout for the community from 8:30 until noon on Saturday, September 24, with free hot dogs and beverages.

As part of its grand opening week, the branch is also planning a drawing for a $1,000 U.S. Bank Visa(R) gift card. People who register do not need to be a U.S. Bank customer. In addition, the branch will hold a coloring contest for children, with the winner receiving $25 in their new Young Saver's account. Nearby restaurants are getting in the fun of the bank's grand opening by sponsoring free appetizers in the office lobby during the week, and U.S. Bank is having a "sale" on its home equity loan, with a low rate and no fees or closing costs.

The new location offers a full range of services and an ATM. In addition to opening free checking accounts with free Internet bill pay, customers can conveniently transact business on savings, CDs, IRAs and other investment opportunities, or get a loan for a car, boat, home improvement or debt consolidation. DeFere added that customers who take advantage of U.S. Bank products and services can also take comfort in knowing that U.S. Bank is home of the exclusive Five Star Service Guarantee, meaning business will be efficient and accurate or the bank will pay customers $5.

Lobby hours at the new U.S. Bank location are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until noon. Drive-thru hours are 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, Friday 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:30 a.m. until noon.

This is U.S. Bank's third new office in Rutherford County. It opened in the Smyrna's Publix grocery store in February and in the new 12,000 square foot U.S. Bank Center, at 806 Medical Center Parkway.

Mike Robbins, U.S. Bank regional president, "U.S. Bank is growing right along with Rutherford County, which is one of the fastest growing counties in the nation," said Robbins. "Our additional in-store, MTSU student center ATM and traditional locations demonstrate our commitment to the community. Our service guarantee proves that we are a bank that strives to be whenever, wherever and however people need us."

U.S. Bank, with over 60 locations in Tennessee, has made inroads with retail and business customers. "Our free checking with cash back rewards, free Internet banking and free bill pay have increased our service and convenience for our customers, as have several of our credit card programs that reward customers with cash, airline miles or merchandise rebates," added Robbins.
