United States Equestrian Federation Offers Horse Enthusiasts a New Way to Support Equestrian Teams with Credit Card from U.S. Bank

LEXINGTON, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 19, 2005--The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) has partnered with U.S. Bank to offer members a new way to support USEF equestrian teams in their quest to compete in international competition, including the 2006 World Equestrian Games, with the new United States Equestrian Visa(R) Platinum Card from U.S. Bank.

"When our members sign up for a new card under the USEF--U.S. Bank credit card partnership, they can rest assured our USEF equestrian athletes will benefit financially, not only with the initial activation, but with every purchase they make thereafter. All this, with no annual fee," said David O'Connor, President of USEF.

Along with four distinctive equestrian credit card designs, horse enthusiasts will have access to three types of cards: a non-reward card that contributes the most back to USEF, a second that earns points redeemable for merchandise, gift certificates or nearly any reward with the Name Your Own Reward option; and a third that provides cash back to the cardholder.

"We are honored to be a partner of the USEF and support horse enthusiasts nationwide. Our goal is to provide a valuable card product that benefits the USEF and its members while also rewarding cardholders for their support," said Tanya Turner, senior vice president of affinity products at U.S. Bank. "We look forward to the many opportunities that will arise for the USEF as a result of this program."

As the National Governing Body of Equestrian Sport, the USEF is the regulatory body for 27 breeds and disciplines, including the country's international teams competing in the disciplines of dressage, driving, endurance, eventing, reining, show jumping, and vaulting. With more than 80,000 members, it is the country's largest multi-breed organization and annually recognizes more than 2,800 competitions nationwide. The USEF governs all aspects of competition including education and licensing of all judges, stewards, and technical delegates who officiate at these shows. To sign up or for information on benefits or rewards, visit www.usef.org.

The vision of the United States Equestrian Federation is to provide leadership for equestrian sport in the United States of America, promoting the pursuit of excellence from the grass roots to the Olympic Games, based on a foundation of fair, safe competition and the welfare of its horses, and embracing this vision, to be the best national equestrian federation in the world.
