Softball Enthusiasts Have New Way to Support Their Sport with Amateur Softball Association/USA Softball Credit Card from U.S. Bank

MINNEAPOLIS & OKLAHOMA CITY, Apr 13, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- The Amateur Softball Association of America (ASA) has launched a new affinity credit card partnership with U.S. Bank that financially supports the organization and the sport of softball each time a new card is activated and again each and every time the card is used.

ASA and USA Softball supporters will have access to a variety of cards offered through this U.S. Bank partnership, which include point-earning cards that can be redeemed for gift certificates, merchandise, cash, travel and college rewards. This partnership improves ASA's ability to offer supporters high-quality affinity credit products and demonstrates U.S. Bank's commitment to be a key corporate partner to the Amateur Softball Association.

"We are proud to have U.S. Bank as a new corporate partner," said Ron Radigonda, ASA's executive director. "The breadth of payment services and rewards options they can offer our membership was a key factor in forming this alliance. This program will help foster further growth of our sport at all levels."

"We're proud to support the thousands of men, women and youth who make softball an integral part of their lives for social and athletic enrichment," said Tanya Turner, senior vice president of affinity products at U.S. Bank. "It is our pleasure to provide valuable card products and services to the ASA and USA Softball in support of its mission."

The new program offers two card art designs that celebrate "Softball...The Game America Plays," including the ASA / USA Softball Card and ASA Umpire Card. Softball enthusiasts can apply for the card by calling 1-800-853-5576 ext. 8456 or by visiting the ASA homepage at www.asasoftball.com or www.usasoftball.com.

Based in Oklahoma City, the Amateur Softball Association, founded in 1933, is the National Governing Body of softball in the United States and a member of the United States Olympic Committee. For more information on the ASA, visit www.asasoftball.com.
