U.S. Bank Sends 40 Bankers to Carver Elementary in Santa Ana for Junior Achievement Day

SANTA ANA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 16, 2005--Students at Carver Elementary, located at 1401 West Santa Ana Boulevard in Santa Ana, Calif., will learn about money and saving during a day-long visit by 40 U.S. Bank employees on March 23 as part of Junior Achievement Day in the classrooms. The event will reach a total of 362 kids in 17 classes from kindergarten through third grade, and two of the classes will be taught in Spanish.

"This is a tremendous opportunity that our bankers gladly accepted without hesitation because we see the immediate value that comes from inspiring kids to understand the basics of money management and saving," said Todd Hollander, U.S. Bank market president and chairman of the Junior Achievement board for Orange County and the Inland Empire. Employees volunteered from all areas of the bank including individuals from the branches, business banking, dealer services, government banking and commercial real estate. They are among nearly 500 employees who work for U.S. Bank in Orange County and the Inland Empire.
