U.S. Bank Center to Shine ``UWM'' on Wednesday, March 16 and Thursday, March 17 in Support of the Panthers NCAA Tournament Berth
Fans Can Support Panthers With New U.S. Bank UWM Credit Card

MILWAUKEE, Mar 15, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- As a way of showing support for the Panthers, U.S. Bank will be shining the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) name for all to see from its 42 story, 601 foot-tall building in downtown Milwaukee at 777 East Wisconsin Avenue. U.S. Bank will use special gold gels to illuminate the upper corners of the building and display the UWM logo in four-story letters on the Van Buren Street side of the building for two consecutive nights, March 16 and March 17, beginning at 6:30 p.m., to celebrate the team's second NCAA men's basketball tournament berth in the school's history. Robert W. Baird and Foley and Lardner, tenants of the U.S. Bank Center, have also agreed to help with the light plan.

Andy Randall, president of U.S. Bank in Wisconsin, noted, "There is no bigger way to show support for the UWM Panthers and their trip to the NCAA men's basketball tournament then with the biggest sign on the tallest building in Wisconsin. We want Coach Bruce Pearl and all of the Panthers to know that the people of Milwaukee are excited about basketball and are proud of their accomplishment."

University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (24-5) will play Alabama (24-7) at Cleveland State University's Wolstein Center on Thursday at 11:25 a.m. central time.

UWM students, alumni, faculty, staff and friends can show off their Panther pride, and at the same time benefit the university, when they use a new UWM credit card from U.S. Bank. UWM's affinity credit card partnership with U.S. Bank supports UWM alumni association's programs, special events, scholarships and more each time a new card is activated, and again each and every time that card is used. A variety of credit cards are offered through the U.S. Bank partnership, including one that earns reward points that can be redeemed for gift certificates, merchandise, cash and travel rewards.

The new cards are available through the UWM alumni website at www.alumni.uwm.edu
