STEVENS POINT, Wisc.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 14, 2005--University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP) has chosen U.S. Bank as its campus bank card partner. This new partnership includes a variety of U.S. Bank financial products and services for students, faculty and staff. U.S. Bank will provide the banking function for the school's multi-use identification card, the PointCard, and will also operate two ATMs on campus. Members of the UWSP community who are U.S. Bank customers will benefit from the bank's student checking and workplace banking products and services.

"We are excited about this partnership with UWSP," said Jeff Whitrock market president for U.S. Bank in Stevens Point. "The PointCard services will enhance the cashless environment on campus, which means added convenience and increased fraud protection for the people who use it. The team at U.S. Bank is also here for our student banking customers to help them prepare financially for life after college."

"At UWSP we believe it's important to emphasize best practices, especially in the management of student accounts and services," said Linda Bunnell, chancellor, UWSP.

"We wanted to update and stay current in our business practices and this partnership brings value to students, faculty and staff who choose to take advantage of these services," said Greg Diemer, vice chancellor for business affairs, UWSP. "The offer we received from U.S. bank was the most competitive and included the most comprehensive services."

The services, which include no minimum balance and no monthly maintenance fee, are optional to UWSP students and employees beginning in the fall of 2005.

The PointCard provides official campus identification and a variety of conveniences for more than 9,700 UWSP students, faculty and staff. The PointCard has numerous capabilities that benefit students, faculty, and staff. In addition to being the school's official identification card, the PointCard can also be used for a variety of other services on campus. For cardholders who also choose to be U.S. Bank customers, the PointCard will double as their ATM card on and off campus. In addition, a U.S. Bank branch is conveniently located at 5673 Highway 10 East in Stevens Point.
