MURFREESBORO, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 17, 2004--U.S. Bank is on the move in Murfreesboro, building a 12,000 square foot U.S. Bank Center behind its current location at 806 West Lokey, and adding a new 2,500 square foot bank on Highway 96, next to O'Charleys. U.S. Bank plans to hire five to six new employees for these locations in the coming months.

Mike Robbins, U.S. Bank regional president, added that U.S. Bank is also set to open in Smyrna's Publix grocery store and has placed an ATM in the student center at MTSU. U.S. Bank's current office at 806 West Lokey will remain open as ground is broken on December 7th for the new U.S. Bank Center, to be completed in early summer, 2005. The new office will occupy over one third of the new center. The remaining space will be leased to retail and professional organizations interested in this new, highly visible location.

Robbins said that the construction of U.S. Bank's West Side location, on Highway 96, should begin about month later. When completed, both locations will be open six days a week and offer complete banking, brokerage and mortgage services as well as feature one of U. S. Bank's Super ATMs.
