Reno is Artown. Artown is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to strengthen Reno's arts industry, which boasts over 30 years of resident arts companies including an art museum, symphony orchestra, chamber orchestra, opera, and theater troupes. Artown continues to foster Reno's civic identity and enhance its national image, thereby creating a climate for the cultural and economic rebirth of the entire region. This is accomplished through showcasing our community's cultural depth by producing one of the largest visual and performing arts festivals in the U.S. in July, where most of the events are free.
