San Carlos Man Wins $5,000 after the A's Hit Back-to-Back Home Runs; Contestant Won Through the U.S. Bank Back-2-Back Cash Back Sweepstakes

OAKLAND, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 24, 2004--U.S. Bancorp (NYSE:USB)

Malcolm Rasmussen of San Carlos was awarded $5,000 through the U.S. Bank Back-2-Back Cash Back Sweepstakes on June 16, after A's players Jermaine Dye and Scott Hatteberg hit back-to-back home runs during the A's game at St. Louis. Both home runs were hit in the sixth inning off Cardinals' pitcher Jason Marquis.

The U.S. Bank Back-2-Back Cash Back Sweepstakes gives A's fans the opportunity to win $5,000, courtesy of U.S. Bank, if the A's hit back-to-back home runs in the sixth inning. Entry forms for this season-long promotion can be picked up at any of 80 Bay Area U.S. Bank branches and then mailed in to KFRC 610 AM. A new contestant is selected and announced on KFRC 610 AM prior to the sixth inning of every A's game.

"The Back-2-Back contest is generating a lot of attention, even more now thanks to Malcolm's win last Wednesday," said Ole Larsen, U.S. Bank region manager for Northern California. "We couldn't be happier for him and hope many more fans get to experience Back-2-Back wins as the A's sluggers lead the team through another great season."
