TAHOE CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 23, 2004--Residents can catch a preview of the Tahoe Arts Festival street painting exhibition at the Incline Village and Tahoe City U.S. Bank branches Thursday, June 24 and Friday, June 25.

As a major supporter of the Tahoe Arts Festival, U.S. Bank will host the street painting preview at the Incline Village branch, located at 923 Tahoe Boulevard on Thursday, June 24 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Tahoe City branch, located at 705 North Lake Boulevard, will host the event on Friday, June 25 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Both events are free and open to the public, and are a glimpse of what attendees can expect to find at the Tahoe Arts Festival, scheduled for Saturday, June 26 and Sunday, June 27 at the Tahoe Biltmore Lodge & Casino in Crystal Bay, Nev.

Local Tahoe artist Susie Alexander will create an elaborate acrylic on canvas drawing at both events. Everyone who attends the event can register to win the paintings, which will be raffled off after the Tahoe Arts Festival. Alexander, who specializes in artistic cabinet finishes and wall murals, is the artist behind the first-ever Tahoe Arts Festival poster, which won the International Festival Association's Gold Medal award.

At the events, kids will be able to participate in a coloring contest, with first and second place in each of two divisions (ages 5-8 and 9-12), taking home $100 and $50 savings bonds, respectively. Kids will also be entertained at each event by Doc-O and Squeaky the Clowns, who will attend both events from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and will be doing face paintings and balloon art for the kids.

The Tahoe Arts Festival, established in 1999, is one of North Shore's most-anticipated events and the region's premier street painting gathering. It features Italian street painting, the Tahoe Arts Festival features traditional sidewalk exhibitions, a street painting arena just for kids, and an Artist Marketplace.
