MINNEAPOLIS, May 4, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Two Minnesota high school students
will be surprised Wednesday night (May 5) when they learn they have been
selected to receive $10,000 scholarships from U.S. Bank as part of the U.S. Bank
Back 2 Schools program.
The announcement will come at the end of the Back 2 Schools recognition banquet
Wednesday, May 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Great Hall at The Depot, located at 225
Third Avenue South in Minneapolis. The scholarship announcement will be at
approximately 7:30 p.m.
U.S. Bank will recognize the more than 200 students and teachers from 130
schools statewide who received awards as part of the Back 2 Schools program,
which is in its inaugural year. The Back 2 Schools program has three components
- the U.S. Bank Teacher's Edition, the Five Star Student Honor Roll and the Prep
Athletes of the Week.
Student winners in the Five Star Student Honor Roll program were honored with
scholarships this past academic year based on their success in one of five
categories - arts, academics, community service, leadership and personal
