Eight Twin Cities Employees Named to U.S. Bancorp Circle of Service Excellence

MINNEAPOLIS, Feb 19, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Eight U.S. Bancorp employees from the Twin Cities area have been named to the U.S. Bancorp Circle of Service Excellence. This honor is awarded quarterly to employees who provide exceptional service and attention to customers and fellow employees.

As recipients of this award, each employee will join a distinguished group of peers who were honored at a luncheon event. In addition to receiving company stock options, each winner's portrait is displayed at the Five Star Hall of Fame, located in seven of the company's major cities: Minneapolis, Denver, Seattle, St. Louis, Milwaukee, Portland and Cincinnati.

        Financial Sales;

    --  Frank Leslie, vice president, Corporate Trust;

    --  Rebecca Lein, account processing specialist; and

    --  Andrew Johnson, assistant vice president, Transaction
        Processing Services.
