U.S. Bank Nets 2,000,000th Online Banking Customer; Celebrates Milestone by Giving Away Computer System Valued at $2,600 to Nonprofit

MINNEAPOLIS, Feb 19, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Molly Olson is the two-millionth person to enroll for Internet Banking with U.S. Bank. Recently Olson, a U.S. Bank customer from Roseville, Minn., received a Dell(R) Dimension XPS Gen 2 computer system valued at more than $2,600 during a celebration at U.S. Bank corporate headquarters in Minneapolis.

"It's very exciting to reach our two-million mark and be able to reward Molly in such a wonderful way," said Linda Garner, senior vice president of U.S. Bank Internet Banking. "Banking online allows customers the security and variety of banking in a traditional branch with the added convenience of banking on their own schedule."

Garner added, "Customers can access their accounts, transfer funds, view their billing statements and even pay bills without the complication of purchasing or installing software. Plus, it's free."

Olson is employed with a local nonprofit organization, the Center for Parental Responsibility, based in Little Canada, Minn. Her new computer will be put to good use at the nonprofit, which until recently was in the market for a computer to assist them with helping others.
