Thomas Atkinson to Lead New Strategic Group at U.S. Bank

TROY, Ohio, Feb 13, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Thomas Atkinson has been named to lead a new strategic partnership which combines the services of U.S. Bank's community banking division with its governmental services and treasury management groups. Ed Dwyer, U.S. Bank division president, made the announcement, adding, "Tom's experience, knowledge and relationships between these three divisions of U.S. Bank makes him uniquely qualified to lead this coordinated 'team' effort."

Dwyer noted, "This new and unique approach demonstrates U.S. Bank's commitment to fast, efficient and expanded financial services for our commercial and governmental clients. We hope to assist them in even further improving their cash flow and access to credit services."

In his new role, Atkinson will work with the bank's commercial, government banking relationship managers and treasury management sales professionals in the Northern Miami Valley, including the Ohio Counties of Miami, Darke, Shelby, Mercer, Auglaize, Hardin and Van Wert. He will be based in Troy.

Atkinson, who has more than 30 years financial experience and most recently served as regional president for U.S. Bank in Troy, said, "This new initiative will create more value and service for our commercial and governmental clients as we deliver fully integrated, high quality, locally-significant financial solutions not only in Ohio but across U.S. Bank's 24 state footprint."
