U.S. Bank to Open a New Branch at C.R. England in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY, Jan 28, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- U.S. Bank will open its first corporate branch site in Utah at C.R. England, located at 4701 W. 2100 S., Salt Lake City. The new branch is scheduled to open on Monday, Feb. 2, 2004, in a central location within C.R. England's corporate headquarters. The announcement was made by Damon Miller, president of U.S. Bank in Utah, and Daniel England, chief executive officer, C.R. England.

C.R. England is a family-owned refrigerated transportation business headquartered in Salt Lake City, and operates in 48 states, Canada and Mexico. The company began with one truck in 1920 and has grown continually. C.R. England employs more than 4,300 people and has approximately 2,650 tractors and 4,100 trailers.

"We have had a good relationship with U.S. Bank, and having a branch at our corporate headquarters will be a big benefit to our employees," said England. "Our employees will be able to take care of their banking needs right at the office, saving them time and money."

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 6. During a special grand opening Monday, Feb. 9 through Friday, Feb. 13, C.R. England employees and area residents can register to win a variety of prizes. There will also be giveaway items for all employees. During the week-long grand opening C.R. England will be encouraging its employees to become organ donors and as part of this will have a special blood drive for ARUP Blood Services.

The branch will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. The branch manager is Darin Birch; the assistant manager is Sherry Facer. Although the branch is located at C.R. England, it is open to everyone.

U.S. Bank also has a branch presence at Dell Computers in Tennessee; Procter & Gamble in Ohio; Maritz in Missouri; Owensboro Mercy Health System, Churchill Downs and IMAX in Kentucky, Aegon Insurance in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Best Buy in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
