       branches at Safeway stores in the Las Vegas area (ten
       contestants at each location)

WHY:   To celebrate the openings of the U.S. Bank branches in Safeway

WHEN & 11:30 a.m., Wed., Jan. 28, 2511 Anthem Village Drive,
WHERE:  Henderson;
       1:00 p.m., Sat., Jan. 24, 6450 Sky Pointe Drive, Las Vegas;
       1:00 p.m., Sat., Jan. 24, 1155 East Twain Avenue, Las Vegas;
       1:00 p.m., Fri., Jan. 30, 820 South Rampart Boulevard, Las
        Vegas;
       1:00 p.m., Sat., Jan. 24, 625 Stephanie Street, Henderson;
       3:00 p.m., Sat., Jan. 24, 6000 West Cheyenne Avenue, Las Vegas;
        and
       10:00 a.m., Sat. Jan. 24, 8540 West Desert Inn Road, Las Vegas.

MISC.: Recently, each of the seven U.S. Bank branch locations
       randomly selected ten finalists who entered a random drawing in
       December.

       --  U.S. Bank and Safeway will provide each of the contestants
           with a list of items sold at Safeway

       --  Contestants will need to arrange the items on the list so
           they match a confidential, pre-determined Safeway shopping
           list

       --  If a contestant's list matches the official Safeway
           shopping list, the contestant will be awarded $10,000

       --  All ten finalists at each location will receive a $100
           Safeway Gift Card

In September 2003, U.S. Bank and Safeway announced plans to open 163 new in-store branches in Safeway and Vons stores in Nevada, Arizona and California over the next two years. This is the largest in-store expansion and partnership venture in U.S. Bancorp's 140-year history. U.S. Bank has the third largest in-store branch banking network in the United States and will have a total of 446 in-store branches in 19 states as the Safeway/Vons expansion is completed.

Currently, U.S. Bank has 27 traditional branches, 19 in-store branches and 48 ATM's in Nevada.
