A Brush With Kindness, a special program of Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity, is
a volunteer program that transforms neighborhoods by assisting qualifying
low-income homeowners in their efforts to live independently and securely in
their homes. It works in cooperation with neighborhood associations, churches
and businesses to target specific blocks that can most benefit from a
concentrated effort to beautify and improve the quality of the homes. Volunteer
crews "adopt" specific homes where they do exterior painting, landscaping and
make minor exterior repairs. Homeowners work alongside the volunteer crews.
