Dandridge, branch manager at U.S. Bank's office at 3720 West Villard Avenue,

the path to a positive financial future by participating in the seventh annual
National Teach Children to Save Day, a nationwide event to teach kids their
financial ABCs. Dandridge's presentation will be on April 10 from 8:30 a.m. to

11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., she will be at Webster Middle School, 6850 N 53rd
"While many of today's kids are computer savvy, many don't know the basics of
saving money and money management," said Dandridge. "National Teach Children to
Save Day starts kids off on the right path to saving for their future."
Sponsored by the American Bankers Association Education Foundation (ABAEF),
National Teach Children to Save Day is a day when bankers make presentations in
schools across the country to students in kindergarten through 12th grade.
On April 10, U. S. Bank employees throughout the Midwest will teach children
about money and savings, covering topics such as budgeting, the difference
between needs and wants, why it's important to save for emergencies and how
interest makes money grow. Students will have an opportunity to apply concepts
and practices through games and other hands-on activities.
"Bankers are experts at saving money and investing, so it's a natural fit for
them to visit classrooms to teach students how their money can grow," said
Donald Ogilvie, executive vice president of the ABA. "Students who become smart
savers today can become smart investors and money managers tomorrow."
