Thomas Wei Joins U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray as Senior Research Analyst Covering Biotechnology

NEW YORK, April 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray (Piper Jaffray) is pleased to announce that Thomas Wei has joined the firm's Equity Capital Markets division as a senior research analyst covering biotechnology with a focus on therapeutics. Wei joins the firm from Deutsche Bank Securities in New York, where he was a research associate covering biotechnology for the past three years. Prior to that, he was a research associate at Adams, Harkness & Hill also covering biotechnology. Wei will be located in Piper Jaffray's New York office.

"Thomas's deep educational background in biochemistry and finance coupled with his Wall Street experience in covering biotechnology companies, will be a welcomed addition to our current health care coverage," said Robert Peterson, head of Equity Research at U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray.

Wei holds a bachelor's degree in biochemistry, from Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass., and earned a master's of business administration degree from Oxford University in Oxford, United Kingdom, under a Rhodes Scholarship.
